Workshop - Air Operated Diaphragm Pumps
Diaphragm pumps are driven by air and have a 1:1 ratio and are available in inlet/outlet sizes from ¼” to 2”.
The diaphragm pump offers many advantages over other pumps such as:-
Low interval velocities move abrasive materials with no damage
Gentle pumping action does not shear fragile materials
Heavy viscosity or solids laden materials can be pumped
Self priming under most suction lift or flooded suction conditions
Can run dry without damage
Deadheads against closed discharge
Different models are available with either Polypropolene or Aluminium bodies and according to the model with Buna-N, Teflon, Hytrel or Santoprene wetted or soft parts.
